The Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you bring smart models to life. You not only make sure they work in a Jupyter Notebook, but also perform in a production environment.
From raw data to running model in production – you build the bridge between algorithm and application. You know: a model is only one piece of the puzzle – only with the right infrastructure and data does everything fall into place.
At Team Rockstars IT, you’ll work on challenging projects at leading clients – from scale-ups to corporates. What exactly you will be doing depends on the project, but below is a sample of what our colleagues are working on right now:
- Development of a secure and scalable platform for generative AI that allows LLMs to be deployed uniformly and reliably within the organization.
- Develop and operationalize financial risk models at a bank, including integration into the existing IT architecture.
- Implement models to predict a home’s energy label to better include sustainability considerations in a mortgage application.
- Set up MLOps environment for a financial services company to run models scalably and manageably in production.
- Automation of the process around notetaking and processing (client) interviews using AI, including automatic transcription and reporting.
You will also work with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker or Azure ML, set up CI/CD pipelines for models, and interact intensively with data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to make real impact.
Who you are
You are a machine learning engineer who thinks in solutions, and builds with vision. You understand that technology and business go hand in hand. And that a model is not an end, but a means.
You have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an ML engineering role
- Proficiency in the Dutch language. You speak and write Dutch well, as you often interact with Dutch-speaking clients and colleagues.
- You have extensive experience with Python and with developing models with tools such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Hugging Face or similar libraries
- Experience with (cloud) platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure or Databricks
- Understanding of CI/CD, MLOps and data pipelines (think technology such as Airflow, Terraform, dbt and Spark) and at least sniffed AI in a production environment
- A healthy dose of curiosity, critical eye and humor
