About ten years ago the adventure of Team Rockstars IT began, led by Bart Nijskens (bon vivant, entrepreneur and proud father). His mission: to turn the IT world completely upside down with a radical “People First” philosophy. That approach works. Today, more than 600 Rockstars color the IT market yellow and black with their skills, enthusiasm and job satisfaction.

About 2.5 years ago, a new dream was born: Team Rockstars Data. A label that revolves around building a powerful community of top data experts – from Data Engineers to AI specialists. And we are doing so successfully: by now our Data community already counts 75 Happy Developers working on leading projects at clients such as Rabobank, Essent, KPN and Alliander.

But we are far from finished. Our ambition? To grow to 150 data rockstars, and to become the partner for data solutions in the Netherlands. And this is where you come in. You are the connecting force between customer, community and team. A pioneer with strategic insight and commercial drive.

Your mission: make customer relationships flourish and strengthen community

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will work in the beating heart of our Data label. You will build lasting client relationships, identify opportunities and play a central role in the growth of our community. You will work closely with the rest of the HQ team (Recruitment, Talent Management, Events).

What will you do?

  • Level relationship management: You will build and maintain strong partnerships with leading organizations in the region such as DNB, KPN, ABN AMRO and Port of Rotterdam.
  • New Business: You will be the driver of our expansion in Region West. You will have the freedom and responsibility to bring in new strategic clients that fit our data community. You are the face and interlocutor at C-level.
  • Strategic growth: You think along about the long-term vision of clients and our label. You know exactly where the market is headed and respond accordingly.
  • Strengthen Community: You will make our Rockstars feel at home on their assignment and serve as a liaison between client, talent and team.
  • Events & Visibility: Work with Recruitment and Marketing on initiatives such as Roundtables, Ajax and other client-focused events.

Freedom and entrepreneurship: You decide how you organize your week. Whether you’re with a client, calling from home or thinking about creative campaigns – your impact is central.

As a Strategic Account Manager at Team Rockstars Data, you get all the freedom to organize inspiring business events yourself. Whether it’s exclusive roundtables, strategic QBRs, co-creation sessions or innovation labs – the ball is in your court.

A week as a Strategic Account Manager at Team Rockstars Data

Monday morning: an energetic HQ weekly start, where you review the week with the team. You share learnings from the market, schedule customer visits and set out actions to capitalize on growth opportunities.

After that?

  • You sit down with a customer about a new AI project
  • You have lunch with a Rockstar on location and discuss how things are really going
  • You will work with marketing on a customer case or organize a mini-master class on data-driven innovation
  • Friday afternoon? Drinks with the team. Just relax and celebrate successes

No day is the same, but one thing is certain: you are constantly on the move, building relationships, growing and having fun.

 

What are we looking for in you?

You are a commercial force pur sang, with vision and guts. You:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in (strategic) account management within IT secondment or data;
  • Thinks in solutions and sees opportunities where others see risks;
  • Gets energy from building: customer relationships, a label, and a culture of fun and achievement;
  • Matches our core values: cordial, open, energetic, rebellious and ambitious.
