With a strong focus on our ‘rockstar’ IT professionals and customer satisfaction, we are looking for a driven (Interim) Manager of Marketing and Events to join us on an interim basis for a fixed term.

Your role
As the (Interim) Marketing and Events Team Manager at Team Rockstars IT, you will temporarily become the driving force behind the marketing and events team, replacing maternity leave between June 1 and November 1.

Your responsibilities:

  • Team Management and Coordination:
    • Function as the hub and glue within the team to ensure continuity during the absence – maternity leave – of our Head of Marketing & Events.
    • Manage a team of 8 permanent staff and 3 interns across various specializations, including Digital Marketing, Event Marketing, Recruitment Marketing and B2B Marketing.
    • Facilitate collaboration and coordination between these various specializations to achieve shared goals and project-based work.
  • Internal and External Communications:
    • Maintain close communication with the Management Team to provide updates on progress, challenges and opportunities within the Marketing and Event Team.
    • Function as a bridge between various departments within the organization, such as the CTO Office, Recruitment Team and Sales Team, to promote synergy and achieve common goals.
  • Event Management:
    • The event team, consisting of three people, runs the largest scheduled event of the year in September. The entire Marketing team will also be involved in this, additional focus and guidance is needed here to successfully execute this and achieve the goals. Experience in the event industry is a plus
  • Support and Guidance:
    • Act as a resource and provide support to individual team members on issues and requests
    • Supervise the onboarding of a new interim recruitment marketer (start: March 1) and provide necessary process support during and after the onboarding period.
  • Team Culture and Positive Atmosphere:
    • Actively contribute to maintaining a positive and supportive team culture within the Marketing & Event team that encourages open communication, collaboration and personal development.
  • Finance & budget monitoring
    • Be responsible for managing and monitoring the Marketing and Event Team’s budget, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying potential cost savings and efficiencies.

  • Extensive experience in leadership and management roles, preferably within a marketing and events environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Proven experience managing teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
  • A hands-on mentality and the ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Empathic ability and the ability to foster a positive team culture.
  • Available between June 1 and November 1.
