WHAT TO EXPECT?
With the success of Team Rockstars IT, the ambition is to establish a new IT consulting and projects arm of the organization.
With a name yet to be determined for this IT consulting practice, Team Rockstars has the strategic goal of establishing its own consulting division. With recognized employer branding and an organization full of IT talent, a separate branch for IT consulting will be established. Within consultancy, Team Rockstars will offer services such as CIO/ CTO advisory, Cyber and IT risks, Cloud roadmaps, AI advisory, Legacy Modernization, Technology advisory and strategy, green coding, Agile Innovation, Tech Radar, maturity scans, team optimizations, assessments and rocksolid solutions. This new department will grow from a few team members to 50 within three years.
Team Rockstars Consultancy provides services in which consultants provide advice, guidance and support to organizations to improve their IT systems, processes and forms of collaboration. These propositions should be built by the MD Consulting handson, translating our organization’s software capabilities into repeatable business propositions or solutions. The consultants will work to identify needs and challenges, develop plans and provide solutions to support business goals. The consulting arm will focus on a mix of clients, with the majority being enterprises and a minority being large SMEs. In doing so, these consultants will focus on C-level consulting projects and issues. This consulting arm will be built fairly from the ground up, including the portfolio with which to go to market. With access to one of the best talent pools in the Netherlands and a rich client portfolio, Rockstars Consulting will have to establish itself within a competitive market.
As Managing Director (MD) of the Team Rockstars consultancy department, you are responsible for building an authority in the field of IT consultancy within the Netherlands. In doing so, you will use the philosophy of Team Rockstars and give your own interpretation to it.
Your job includes building a team that makes a difference with clients and thus becomes a recognized authority in the Netherlands. You have a clear vision of what this team and the business should look like. You will work closely with the Technical Director (Marco Kuiper) where he focuses on the content and you mainly on the commercial side and on the development of the portfolio or propositions (solutions) of IT consultancy based on our custom software development capabilities and their business value for our customers.
You will be responsible for overall management, P&L, and oversee both qualitative and quantitative growth. You have strong commercial skills and are able to successfully complete large projects. In addition, you proactively develop new initiatives and customer relationships.
You will have a strong partnership with the core organization of Team Rockstars and make best use of the resources available at Team Rockstars, such as a sales team of 15, a strong talent attraction and an extensive client base. You will also work closely with the distributed Team Rockstar regions that are close to the client. In addition, you will have access to the Rockademy, a marketing machine, an advanced reporting system and an efficient back office.
You are both commercially and IT content strong and can communicate at level with C-level on business and IT of companies such as Essent, KPN or Kadaster. You have a “can do” mentality and do not shy away from ambitious growth targets. You can switch between getting things moving and sometimes operationalizing and directing.
In collaboration with the other, IT-related TD (Technical Director) you will step on board at Team Rockstars IT to realize this growth and transformation. You pull the cart in the areas of general management, commerce and operations and give face to the business. You will have carte blanche to give the organization the right shape to conquer the IT consulting landscape.
How is success defined after 12 months?
- The structure of the consulting organization is in place. There is a team of consultants with a clear division of roles;
- There is a clear story, a clear message about what Rockstars IT consulting is all about and how it stands out;
- Built the portfolio or propositions of IT consulting;
- Rockstars IT’s service types are fully defined, with the organization’s strengths evident;
- Relevant additional business has been developed with both existing and new customers;
- Successful references have been established: the first successful projects have been completed and Team Rockstars IT Consulting has proven itself.

Are we a match?
Knowledge and experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in the IT consulting or services market;
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience;
- Academic work and thinking level;
- Has a C-level network at corporates and public clients;
- Has a clear vision regarding IT consulting and communicates it clearly;
- Has high-level knowledge of issues such as CI/CD pipelines, agile and/or cloud software development and testing, micro-services etc.
Entrepreneurial
- Is himself able to set the framework for a successful organization;
- Rolls up your sleeves and gets to work yourself, cooperating foreman;
- Build your “own toko” and fire;
- Can do mentality, “can’t doesn’t exist” is right up your alley;

IT Consulting
- Has IT consulting experience and authority within the IT consulting landscape of the Netherlands, with boardroom presence;

- Has experience developing marketing strategies and sales plans within IT consulting;
- Is an all rounder, can contribute to content services;
- Is customer and relationship oriented, is the face to the outside world.
