We are on a journey with Team Rockstars IT! With our ambition to be an international high-end IT partner by 2027 that Rockstars and customers choose because we put the employee at #1, we also have a lot of work to do for our internal IT. And we are looking for someone who wants to play a key role in making this happen!

In this position, you will be responsible for shaping the technological future of our company, facilitating qualitative and quantitative growth. What will it take to have an application landscape in 5 years that everyone envies? What our colleagues talk about with pride and work with a smile?

We have already made considerable strides in our Microsoft-oriented landscape over the past few years (we work with Microsoft AD, Office/Teams, Azure for internal applications). We are also working on a Salesforce implementation for CRM and Marketing automation. In this role, you will create a long-term IT strategy that includes determining what next steps we take, what applications we replace, scale down or add, how we make AI tooling work for us and how we keep our security in order. This is based on the premise that Team Rockstars IT has a state of the art, secure and high-performing cloud-based environment that enables Rockstars and Staff colleagues to do their jobs Rocking.

You will do this together with an internal application manager and internal BI engineer. You will also manage a range of external partners that we hire based on their specialties (think a party for our office automation, implementation partner for Salesforce and other vendors). For specific projects, hire specific expertise. You will also get help from IT Rockstars who are inbetween projects or reintegrating and thinking/working on our internal applications. As the product owner of these applications, you put them on the right path and thus make progress.

Sounds like a dream job, and quite honestly, it is 😉. But also to be clear: it is not an easy job! Because of our 70/30 model, we always have a tight budget to organize our internal IT from. And with our ambitions (strong growth, even internationally as expected), there are always 1001 desires to prioritize. So this role requires you to choose well, manage expectations and set your lines with an eye on strategic direction!

Point by point the issues you are concerned with:

  • You are responsible for all ICT within the company: from the hardware and cloud that the systems run on, the tools and programs that are used, the environments and infra that these systems run on, to the processes that drive it all.
  • Budget Management: You will establish and effectively manage IT budgets. You identify cost savings and optimize investments in new technologies.
  • Team management: You lead and motivate a small team of IT specialists. You will coordinate daily activities, assign tasks based on individual skills, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous growth.
  • Security and Compliance: You implement and enforce strict security protocols to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. You will ensure that IT systems comply with all relevant legal requirements and industry regulations regarding security/information security/AVG.
  • Project Management: You will oversee the planning and execution of IT projects and ensure that projects are completed within the set deadlines and budgets, with the quality of deliverables being paramount.
  • Stakeholder and partner management: You will maintain close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including department heads and executive management. You clearly communicate IT initiatives, issues and performance.
  • Application Management: You oversee planning and execution in the areas of application management, functional management, data management (backups, data integrations), data synchronizations and BI/reporting. You facilitate office automation.
  • Infrastructure, workplace management and user support: You are a sparring partner of our external IT partner and initiate and optimize the landscape.

This is where you recognize yourself

Nobody fits all the boxes, but if you come very close to a perfect score you may call immediately!

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership/steering IT positions.
  • Knowledge of / affinity for IT infrastructures, networking, security and cloud technologies.
  • Communication & leadership skills
  • Problem solving ability and the ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • You don’t have to be an expert in all your areas of responsibility, as long as you are curious and willing to delve deeper in order to properly manage partners!
