Brief introduction

My name is Ruurd Dam (50’er, living in Arnhem, married to artist Hildegard, father of three daughters and lover of outdoor sports and theater). As MD and co-founder of Team Rockstars Cloud my ambition is to grow to a team of more than 100 Cloud Rockstars. Our clients throughout the Netherlands turn to Team Rockstars Cloud for advice and implementation in designing, setting up, implementing, migrating, monitoring and managing modern Cloud Architectures, especially Azure and AWS. Ambition
Ambition is one of our core values. We want to keep learning and developing ourselves so that we can offer colleagues perspective and help customers with their digital dreams. Two years ago, Team Rockstars decided to launch a new Data label in addition to a Software branch (with 10 chapters and some 50 IT Rockstars per chapter), recently followed by a Cloud and Security label.

The cloud platform is the foundation by which organizations can successfully execute their digital strategy: innovate, launch new products and services faster, enter new markets and better serve us as consumers. But how do we get there as an organization? How do I design and manage a modern Cloud architecture that is future-ready? How do I build a solid Landing Zone to migrate and deploy workloads and applications with confidence? What is an effective migration strategy for a smooth transition to the Cloud? What skills and knowledge do I need to build to move forward confidently as an organization? And how do I proactively deploy monitoring and observability to prevent system failures, rather than cure them after the fact? Last but not least: how do I keep a grip on Cloud costs and get maximum value from our Cloud platform?

The Cloud label supports customers in meeting these challenges together, with Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects who understand market and customer needs. They advise both business and technology stakeholders on the benefits of cloud over current infrastructure. They provide honest, concrete recommendations and help with TCO analysis and migration plans (based on the 6Rs for Cloud migration strategies). Then they guide the migration of workloads, applications and data. They look integrally at architecture and proactively ensure a cost-effective, optimized, scalable, secure and stable Cloud platform.

Are you our new account manager with a commercial view who will make even more impact in the Netherlands?As an account manager you will expand our beautiful and successful concept with prospects and possibly also existing customers within our region. The initial focus is on medium-sized and large companies, where there is a focus on IT, innovation and software development. Often these are leading companies.

With your sales and experience in IT, you identify opportunities and know how to capitalize on them through our services – IT projects and software built by our IT Rockstars, all toppers in the market.You are able to be a full discussion partner for both management and, for example, Cloud Center of Excellence leads or Product Owners. You do not do this alone, we think big with you and a lot is possible to achieve a 9+ experience with both the customer and our Rockstars!

We are looking for an account manager with energy and drive, waiting for marketing to forward you a lead is not one of them. You are in control of your own success. And this success translates into the finest assignments for our IT Rockstars.

This is what energizes you:

  • Taking full sales ownership: from prospecting to account management and from origination to closing orders;
  • Generate new business and then build on these customers;
  • Identify DMUs, actively work with them and use this to quickly build a good network;
  • Closely collaborate and share best practices with your sales colleagues both regionally and company-wide;
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team: you will collaborate with Corporate Recruiters and Recruitment Consultants, Talent Managers, CTO Office, Marketing and Cloud, Data and IT Rockstars from your region;
  • Active networking, spotting opportunities and giving input on them, meeting targets and opening new doors;
  • Together with your team, make sure your region rocks!

What does a random week look like?

It’s Monday morning. You feel like it and check your LinkedIn to see if there are any new notifications. With a steaming cup of coffee, you read how Coolblue successfully completed a migration to AWS. You’re already packing your gym bag, because at the end of the day you’re eager to join the outdoor bootcamp.

Quarter to nine. You quickly peek at your schedule for the next few days before the 15-minute stand-up begins, along with Ruurd, Bas and Melissa. Cozy busy, but what a party it will be again!

  • In possession of a relevant college or wo degree;
  • Toppers ready for their next commercial role with at least 2 years of experience in (IT) recruitment or sales;
  • You preferably have experience in IT secondment;

What do we expect from you?

You want to focus on what you do best: with your excellent sales skills and knowledge of the IT (secondment) industry, you build and maintain strong (client) relationships and bring in new employees and clients with enthusiasm.

Within our Cloud label, we are looking for someone with a “Hearty Can Do Mentality” (no is not an option!) who will help build the newest success within Team Rockstars. We want to build a business and community of amazing Cloud Rockstars who are going to change the digital world of today and tomorrow. For this they need to be serviced by the best IT Agency in the Netherlands: Team Rockstars!

In the first year, the focus is on a combination of recruitment, sales and community-building. The expectation is that the focus will eventually be more on sales and account management.
