At the LNS (Location Navigation Services) department, work is underway on the TomTom Maps Online Search API. Online search is a RESTful API for searching information about addresses, streets, places, intersections, POIs (Points of Interest) etc. around the world. In all this, IT Rockstar Andrej was particularly responsible for an application that converts TomTom’s vast amount of map data into a simple indexable (by Apache Lucene) and searchable format.
